It’s one of the (if not the largest) Greek communities outside of Greece.
From downtown Tarpon to the Sponge Docks, you’ll find a ton of Greek restaurants.
So, if you like Greek food, it’s the place to be.
I’ve been living here for about 2 years now and love it.
It’s a nice little town that’s close to Clearwater (about 20 minutes to the South) and Tampa (about 20 minutes to the east.
Tarpon Springs is right on the coast, and you have several beaches nearby like Sunset Beach and Fred Howard Park.
And if you like kayaking, boating, or fishing, or any other number of water activities…you’ll love it here.
Whether you’re planning on visiting or moving to Florida, the city of Tarpon Springs will welcome you with open arms.
Tarpon has a great community of people from all over the US and around the world.
You’ll meet wonderful people from all walks of life as you participate in your favorite activities.
If you like running, you’ll find a group of runners that gets together every week.
If you like dogs, you’ll find a lovely park for your fur babies where you can meet other pet owners like yourself.
You’ll find several groups on Facebook where you can meet the nice people of Tarpon Springs and start making friends before you even move here.
