Hey! I'm Dave, and in a nutshell... I'm originally from Florida, but spent 20+ years in Brazil teaching English and co-founding ESL schools.
Now, I'm back home in Florida, where I'm transforming real estate transactions into stories of life, culture, and connection.

After high school, I embarked on what was supposed to be a year-long adventure in Brazil. Well, life had other plans, and I found myself captivated by the country’s vibrant culture, leading to an unexpected 20-year detour.
There I fell in love, got married, and became a father to two wonderful daughters. It wasn't until my eldest was on the brink of high school that the reality of time hit me. Realizing the ticking clock, I decided it was time to return to Florida, not just for the kids' education but to reconnect with my roots.
Back in the Sunshine State, I dove into the world of real estate, initially working as a loan signing agent. I facilitated countless property closings, handing out checks and watching from the sidelines.
But one day, after handing a real estate agent an $80,000 commission check, the lightbulb moment struck. I was sitting on the wrong side of the table. With that revelation, I pursued and obtained my real estate license, ready to step into the role of helping people find their dream homes directly.
Once I got started, I never looked back. I love the fact that I'm not stuck behind a desk and every day is different. One day I may be showing beautiful homes and another day I may be flying my drone over someone's home for a photo shoot.
I love it.
What Do you do for Fun?
When I'm not navigating real estate transactions, my passions take me in creative directions. Reading, writing, and running are few of the core things I do on a regular basis. And I'm always trying new things along the way that catch my attention and interest
I'm an avid reader and audio book listener, always chasing the next great story or piece of knowledge
I find joy in crafting stories. Whether it's tales from my life or fictional short stories, writing allows me to explore and share
It’s not just exercise; it's my time to reflect, plan, and sometimes, just enjoy the silence
While I haven't settled on a motto yet, my life has been about going with the flow, learning from every twist and turn, and making the most of every opportunity. Maybe one day, I'll have a catchy phrase, but for now, it's all about the journey.
My goal here with the blog is twofold. Firstly, I want to build a community as I share what I'm learning in the hopes that it will help others.
Secondly, I teaching is still in blood. I spent almost 20 years in a clasroom helping people learn. I'll most likely organize lessons and course based around the skills and insights I've gained over the years.
But for now, let’s focus on sharing stories, learning together, and growing this space into something special.
